The Kinney Centerfor Autism Education and Support

has a two-fold mission: to educate and train the autism professionals of tomorrow, while supporting and serving the individuals and families affected by autism today.

The Kinney Center seeks students with high aspirations of serving children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), their families, schools, service providers and community. Students will be challenged to approach the autism field in a creative, spirited and meaningful way, and to work to produce the best possible outcomes for those with ASD. The Kinney Center is committed to helping individuals with autism live greater.

This one-hour program meets once a week, and focuses on teaching and improving social interaction in a group-learning environment. Sessions are held on Tuesday and Wednesday nights and run for 8 weeks from 9/23 through 11/19.

SJU Hosts 5K Run/Walk in Support of Autism <br><i>Funds to expand Kinney Center for Autism Education and Support programs </i>
PHILADELPHIA (September 2, 2014) — Saint Joseph’s University’s Kinney Center for Autism Education and Support will host a 5K Run and 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk on Saturday, September 27, from 8 to 10:30 a.m., to raise money to support services for children and adults with autism and their families. The starting line will be outside of the Cardinal John P. Foley ’58 Campus Center on Saint Joseph’s Maguire Campus, and the event will be held rain or shine.
